Spread across two characteristic monumental canal houses in the heart of the city, are eight high-end turn-key apartments. Both buildings have been fully renovated with the highest quality new construction materials and feature unique interior design by our design partner, Grand & Johnson. Each apartment is unique in size and layout. These beautiful apartments are part of our housing portfolio City Chapters.
Kerkstraat was established in 1665 during the city’s expansion. In the Golden Age, affluent upper-class citizens from Keizersgracht built their carriage houses and stables here. The original plan envisioned four churches (for which the street is named), but only two were constructed. Kerkstraat 132, originally a carriage house, is now a listed building with an original gable end. Until 2015, it housed Lambiek, a renowned comic shop and sequential art gallery. Built around 1864, the ground floor of Kerkstraat 134 served as a shop, while the upper floors were used as living quarters.
